So I'm finally going to get some bedding for our room, and I need some help deciding. Jeremy doesn't want anything too "girly", so here are my finalists. What do you think?
I like the yellow!!!! Baby is going to poop, pee, spit up, and throw up on whatever you have so you'll want to get something that's easy to wash and will hide stains. :-) ha ha
I've actually been looking at the yellow bedding myself. But I love all of them. I don't think any of them are too girly. My only concern with the stripes is that they are silk and therefore...dry clean only. I keep telling Chuck that I want dead bolts on our bedroom door so that our room can be the one nice place that the kids can't destroy. By the way, Chuck's mom was telling me that she read an article on how to create a "sensual" bedroom (scarey, I know:). Apparently you want it to be girly enough that he knows it's your domain but not so girly that he's embarrassed to sleep there:) Or something like that:) Thought you'd like to know.
I just got some bedding at Anthropologie amd it has a lot of the yellow show in the picture you have....I love yellow/gold or whatever they call that color. It is not too girly and yet is still feminine. Good luck!!
I like the PB yellow paisley. It would go great with black or brown furniture (or white for that matter). You could do about any color as an accent too - navy, grey, black, celery green, orange...
I'm going to go against most everyone else and say not the yellow. I like blue or green on my bed (even though my walls are gold-ish :) I love the pattern of the top one...is it black and white? But I'm with Kris....get one you can wash. I think cool colors looks best with dark furniture.
How fun! Ok I love the yellow but I also really love the 2nd one with the blue. That is the color I am trying in our bedroom and I love how calming and it is and easy to work with.
The last one, in gray, is the one Jeremy would go for. It's fashionable yet masculine. The only problem is that walls and flooring are also usually neutral and a neutral spread would be blah. Jerzee, how are you doing? I'm back in Boise searching for post-grad employment. Let's get in touch. -Josh
Yesterday Riggs took these colored circle stickers out of my office and put them all over his dresser. When I found them, I was telling him that we don't put stickers on furniture and that he needed to take them all off. His response was, "Mom, do you know why I did that? So that if someone comes over who doesn't know about patterns, they can learn." Apparently he's been learning patterns in preschool. When I looked at them again, sure enough, they were in a perfect repeated pattern of green, pink, yellow.
This happened awhile ago, but I have to include it before I forget about it. I was in the bathroom with the boys one morning and they were all 3 standing in front of the mirror while I did their hair. Riggs was getting over a bad cold and was sniffing and coughing and snotty. After a bad sneezing and coughing fit, he just burst into tears. When I asked him what was wrong, he just blurted out, "I am acting like a PIG!"
Riggs and I were waiting for our car at the car wash the other day, and there was a show on about camel spiders. They were telling all the facts about these spiders and Riggs was super into it. They said that camel spiders can run 10 miles an hour. After he heard that, Riggs said, "Mom, how fast can you run?" I said about 6 miles an hour. He then looks at me with a little grin and says, "You've just got to try harder."
After I had just finished washing the windows, Riggs started playing with the hose in the back yard. I told him he had to spray towards the grass, but of course, that was just a disaster waiting to happen. After chewing him out for spraying my clean windows, he came in the house, apologized and then said, "Mom, are you having a rough day?"

I like the yellow one. Your boys are so handsome! Let's get together soon.
I like the yellow one! Thats my vote...its really cute!
Hmmm. I like #2 or #3. I am usually drawn towards beachy or earthy colors but yellow is very cheerful.
I like the stripes 2 or 4. I think it gives you more colors to use for decorating. But really I like them all. That's a hard choice!
